Live! Casino at Arundel Mills has a live preview! Cardholders will receive their rewards from Friday, June 19 through Sunday, June 28. It will then reopen to the public from 6:00 AM on June 29th.
All cardholders must register online and reserve a time prior to entering the casino. Chairman’s Club, Jade Card, Black Card members and guests can pre-register on the evening of June 19th. The preview date for Gold and Platinum cardmembers is scheduled for June 20th, while Classic cardmembers can access the casino from June 22nd to June 28th.
Maryland casinos limit patron occupancy to 25-50% and implement state-required aggressive sanitation practices.
Hotels and casinos will reopen, but spas, retail stores and concert venues will remain closed. Only four of the 13 restaurants and bars, including Luk Fu, Orchid Kitchen, R-Bar and Orchid Bar, will be participating in the initial phase of reopening.

News of the reopening of Maryland’s second-largest casino comes as other properties prepare to open this week. Both the Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Flintston, Maryland and the Hollywood Casino in Perryville will open on June 19th.
MGM National Harbor, the largest gaming revenue generator of Maryland’s six casinos, has yet to set an opening date.
Gaming revenues at six Maryland casinos have already dropped $373 million in 2020 since they closed on March 16 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A casino and hotel project that has been in the works for a long time has cleared the latest legal hurdle, meaning construction on the project in the south could begin as early as next year.
Live! Located on the south side near all stadiums, the Philadelphia Casino and Hotel is partly owned by Watche “Bob” Manoukian, who also owns a casino in Bensalem. But until Thursday, Pennsylvania had casino ownership restrictions that prevent owners from owning a stake in more than one casino.
SugarHouse Casino, a potential local competitor, has Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia, challenge ownership.
But on Thursday, Governor Tom Wolf defeated SugarHouse’s appeal by repealing the 2004 ownership restrictions. SugarHouse has given up on appeal.

Along with the repeal, investor David S. Cordish, chairman and CEO of Baltimore-based Cordish Cos., told the Inquirer.
Construction on the $600 million casino and hotel will begin in 2018. If all goes according to plan, Live! The Casino and Hotel Philadelphia will open in 2020.
The casino has 2,000 slot machines and 125 gaming tables, and the hotel has over 200 rooms. The project also includes a 2,600 square meter parking lot. It bills itself as “America’s first comprehensive gaming, resort, entertainment and sports destination.”
